This policy explains how betmica777.com (the “Site”) handles personal data. It covers our guide website only. When you visit or open an account at Betmica, Betmica’s own privacy policy applies, and you should read it separately.
1. Who we are
The Site is an independent guide to the Betmica casino for UK players, run by a small editorial team (“we”, “us”). We are not Betmica and we have no access to any Betmica account or the data Betmica holds about you.
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the controller of the limited personal data described below. You can contact us about privacy through the question form on our support page — please mark your message “Privacy”.
2. What data we collect
We deliberately collect as little as possible. There are no user accounts on the Site and no newsletter.
2.1 The question form
If you use the “ask our guide team” form on the support page, we receive:
- your name (optional) and email address;
- the topic you select and the text of your question;
- the date and time you sent it.
We use this only to read and answer your question. Please don’t include passwords, card numbers, identity documents or Betmica account details — we don’t need them and will never ask for them.
2.2 Server and security logs
Like any website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, device information, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver pages, keep the Site secure and protect it against abuse.
2.3 Visitor statistics without cookies
We don’t use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any cookie-based tracking. Any traffic figures we look at are aggregate statistics (such as page views per day) provided by our hosting provider, which don’t use cookies and don’t identify individual visitors.
2.4 Affiliate click redirects
When you click a button to visit Betmica, you pass through our /play address, which immediately redirects you to an affiliate tracking link. That redirect itself stores nothing on your device. The affiliate network and Betmica may then record the click and set their own cookies on their own domains so that a commission can be attributed to us if you sign up. That processing is controlled by them and covered by their privacy policies.
3. Our lawful bases
| Purpose | Data | Lawful basis (UK GDPR Article 6) |
|---|---|---|
| Answering your question | Name, email, question | Legitimate interests — replying to a message you chose to send us |
| Delivering and securing the Site | Server and security logs | Legitimate interests — running a safe, working website |
| Aggregate visitor statistics | Anonymous, aggregated figures | Legitimate interests — understanding which guides are useful |
| Meeting legal obligations | Any of the above, if required | Legal obligation |
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we never sell it.
4. How long we keep it
- Question form messages: kept for up to 12 months after we reply, so we can follow up on the same topic, then deleted.
- Server and security logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period, normally no more than 30 days, unless needed to investigate an attack or abuse.
- Aggregate statistics: contain no personal data and may be kept indefinitely.
5. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data where there’s no good reason to keep it.
- Restriction — ask us to pause using your data while a concern is looked into.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability — receive data you gave us in a commonly used format, where applicable.
To use any of these rights, send a request through the support form. We’ll respond within one month. We may need to confirm the request comes from the email address in question.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
6. Cookies
The Site itself does not set marketing or analytics cookies, so we don’t show a cookie consent banner. The table below lists what you may encounter.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
Security cookies (e.g. __cf_bm, cf_clearance) | Our hosting/CDN provider | Bot protection and security challenges; only set if needed | Up to 30 minutes / session-based |
| Analytics cookies | — | Not used | — |
| Advertising cookies | — | Not used on this Site | — |
| Affiliate tracking cookies | The affiliate network or Betmica, on their own domains | Attributing sign-ups after you leave our Site | Set by the third party |
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
7. Third parties
We share data only with service providers we need to run the Site:
- Hosting and content delivery (CDN): the Site is hosted on Cloudflare, which serves pages, processes server logs, runs the question form endpoint and provides security protection.
- Affiliate partners: we do not send them your personal data. They receive only the information your browser passes when you follow a link to them.
We may disclose data if required by law, for example in response to a valid request from a court or regulator.
8. International transfers
Our hosting provider operates a global network, so data such as server logs may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK–US data bridge where the provider is certified.
9. Children
The Site is for adults aged 18 and over in the UK. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data through the form, contact us and we’ll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Site or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
For the rules that govern use of the Site, see our terms and conditions. If you’re looking for help with gambling rather than privacy, visit our responsible gambling page.
